Our antebellum plantation home is Greek Revival style built in 1839.  It is located in the Margaret Mitchell Memorial Park in the legendary “land of Gone With the Wind”.  You may want to dress in period attire and arrive in a horse drawn carriage.  Enjoy the romance of a Southern Plantation atmosphere for your wedding day.

Rental Fees

 

Grounds capacity is 200 persons, and seating capacity in the schoolhouse is 50 persons.

Complete rental package (includes Bethel Schoolhouse, pavilion, and grounds):   

                   $500 – minimum of two (2) hours

                        $650 – three (3) hours

                     *$800 – four (4) hours

                        $950 – five (5) hours

                        $1100 – six (6) hours

                        $1250 – seven (7) hours

                        $1400 – eight (8) hours

 

* Package rentals of four or more hours for weddings will also allow an additional hour on a previous night for rehearsal. Package rentals of three or less hours for weddings will be charged an additional $150 for a rehearsal of one hour on a previous night.

 

Schoolhouse rental only:

                        $200 – minimum of two (2) hours; $75 for each additional hour

Pavilion rental only:

                        $75 – minimum of two (2) hours; $50 for each additional hour

Security deposit:**

                        $500 – Complete package

                        $300 – Schoolhouse

                        $100 – Pavilion

**Deposit is due before date can be considered secured by renter. It will be refunded after rental, less any deductions that may be necessary. Deposit is non-refundable if date is cancelled by renter.

 

All rental fees are due in full at least two (2) weeks before the date of rental. We accept cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard. Please make checks payable to: Historical Jonesboro/Clayton County Inc.

miscellaneous Rental Fees

 

Set-up and Take-down Fees:

  Schoolhouse – (use of HJ/CCI tables and chairs are included in this fee. Tables are 48” rounds.  Two 6’ long tables are also available. Tablecloths are not provided.)

               5 tables or less and 30 chairs or less - $50.00                                             

               8 tables or less and 50 chairs or less - $80.00   

 

Grounds and/or pavilion – (Tables and Chairs must be rented from a rental facility, delivered to the property, and picked up the next business day.)

HJ/CCI  Representative Fee:

 

$20 per hour to be paid directly to the representative at the close of the event after final inspection of the property. This person will be on hand to assist you as needed during  your event.

 

Security Police:

 

            $25 per hour to be paid directly to the officer at the close of the event.
